Holi-Crazed hits #1 on Amazon!

Image
Who knew writing down my crazy family tales would propel me to #1 on the Amazon charts in a whole new genre? Thank you readers for the fabulous support! It means more than you know. Being a full time author has often earned me a few snickers and eye rolls, so this is especially gratifying for the perpetually hopeful.   Anyway, we just cruised through Thanksgiving weekend and I waited for the shenanigans...and wouldn't you know that nothing ridiculous happened for me to document for book 2?  It might be time for new kids.

New! Holi-Crazed a collection of funny family short stories.

Who's excited about the November 21st release of this book? ME!  Don't get me wrong, I love a good sweet Christmas romance, but there's something quite thrilling when you mix the holidays with a great suspense, and Susanne Matthews never disappoints. This looks to be her best yet. Here's the blurb, and then read on to find out what inspired the story. Going home for Christmas can be deadly. Candy Kayne agrees to go to Black Oaks, the Georgia plantation her ancestor reluctantly left after the Civil War, to meet the family she’s never known and help Steve set a trap for his wife’s killer. Even the wildest tales have a kernel of truth in them and as she learns more about the family’s history, she realizes that coming here may have been the biggest mistake of her life. Losing Amy almost destroyed Steve Anderson, but when Candy steps into his life, her sweetness chases the dark gloom away. But when he realizes the man who murdered his wife may have set his sights o

This week has been a rollercoaster with the weather in southern Arizona.  Warm, cold, and even hail. But, always the days end with beautiful purple sunsets that make this world magical.  With these cooler temps, we've been riding more, complaining less and I can't wait for the holidays!  I even managed a quick trip to Timbstone after the release of The Sound of Wolves, just to get some me time. Ah, so happy.

Ahh, it's here! It's here! The cover for the last installment of the Native Bride Series. The Sound of Wolves is a novella with plenty of action. In fact, it almost didn't make it into the series, these characters are a bit rough around the edges. (I couldn't control them.) This title goes on Pre Order at midnight September 28th. Blurb; Raised by an infamous gunslinger, Christina River learns to survive the Arizona territory by dressing, talking, riding and shooting like a man. In fact, she prefers it until the day she finds an orphaned Apache baby under a tree. She's determined to take the child home and raise him as her own until she's ambushed on the trail by a fierce looking warrior claiming she stole his son! Not one to back down from a fight, Christine isn't giving up and he's not giving in.  Together, they expose a frightening truth about the recent massacres and missing children in the area, and the truth about Ch

The latest news, vlogs and giant hamburgers!

Welcome! I can't wait to show you my latest vlog.☺  I went exploring around Superior, Arizona and found the old Pinal cemetary where Mattie Earp is laid to rest. It wasn't easy to find, but with some help and a good old fashioned heated debate about 'what the he'll are we doing out in the middle of nowhere' with hubby,  we found it. 😜😜   It was worth the effort and I provided a link below.  After paying our respects, we stopped at The Buckboard Cafe and ordered burgers. Holy cow man this thing could have fed the entire table!!   If you're wondering about the next release, its looking to be by the Fall. A light hearted romance between Country music's Cole Justin Carter and sweet Anna Vanner. His Country!  I am having fun with this one, featuring a great cast of characters and a blood hound named Daisy. Okay here's the video link to our trip. Enjoy!  Click here to travel with me!

The Agony of Writing Historical Fiction Romance.

Ugh! Okay, I could be more creative with words, because UGH doesn't really cover how I feel at the moment, but I'm behaving myself. First of all, I am currently knee-deep in research for a new Native Brides novella. I hadn't planned on a three book series, but the first two have made a significant splash, and so I decided I should write at least one more with the hopes of putting all three into a trilogy paperback. But, back at the topic I originally set out to write. Book 3, I have decided, ever since I physically walked along the grounds of The Camp Grant Massacre, will take place amongst this setting. Why I would try and write a romance during such a tragic time makes me wonder about my sanity. It is with the upmost hope that I do not offend, belittle, or downright upset the Apache Nation or anyone else who have lost, suffered, or somehow affiliate themselves into the tragic event that occurred along the San Pedro River 1871. As an fiction author, you wouldn'

2018! Let's Do This!

Image
Happy New Year! This year, lets not make resolutions, lets create a  revolution. How? Set small monthly goals. Yes we can, yes we will. Small success build large ones and are easier to visualize. I'm a big believer in visualization and staying focused on my thinking. Walks With Him remains on Amazon's Best Seller list. (9 weeks yay!) and another Native Bride story will be releasing by the Fall. This one, looks to be a bit hotter and more adventurous. I'm in the middle of selling my home, so as soon as I settle in a shiny-new office, I'll be working hard on that. My On Location VLOG will be filming again soon. First stop will be visiting Mattie Blaylock's grave. (A wife of Wyatt Earp). Should be interesting. Its a brand-new year, let's make it a great one.
